One Health at CSU

The One Health Institute works to engage experts and students across all eight colleges at CSU. OHI works with diverse transdisciplinary teams organized around three pillars to develop action-oriented solutions to One Health problems.

One Health,
One Medicine

Advancing translational science by application of natural animal models to accelerate health advances that benefit animals and humans.

Humans, Animals,
and the Environment

A concept that focuses on the intersection of the health and well-being of humans, animals, and the environment.

Community

Leverage expertise across boundaries to identify areas for community outreach and engagement.

We have an extensive portfolio of work and roster of researchers, thanks in part to our unique ecosystem, community and location in the Colorado front range, at the interface of the high intermountain and plains region.

We make a point to focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, as underserved communities are more negatively impacted by climate change and health issues.

One Health Institute Staff

CSU OHI staff works beneath these guiding principles to become a leader in developing and implementing solutions to One Health problems.

Affiliates

OHI is continuously seeking faculty (and external stakeholders of equivalent rank) to participate as affiliates. These individuals will be formally recognized as OHI participants in CSU’s Center, Institute, and Other Special Units (CIOSU) designation process.
